After a very quiet (bliss!) night's sleep, we went downstairs to have breakfast. I suppose this is what it might have been like staying at a country house party in the 1920s. There were three couples sitting round the table, with Ian fussing around asking us how we'd like our breakfast cooked, providing coffee and so on. Plus a sideboard with a lovely fruit salad which he'd made, plus jars of cereal, with milk, yoghurts, jam on the tables...get the picture?
